The silent auction is a fun-filled event held during the 2018 NM State Conference on Saturday, September 1, at the Marriott Albuquerque Pyramid North.

Proceeds from the silent auction will help support the 2018 New Mexico Master Gardeners Conference and the vital programs that provide education to our communities and incredible volunteers, extending sustainable gardening throughout New Mexico.

The 2018 NM Master Gardeners Conference is looking for generous people and businesses to help make this year’s silent auction a huge success. We are seeking high quality silent auction donations that will be visible to the potentially 200+ volunteers in attendance. All individuals, businesses and organizations will be recognized for their support of the program at the silent auction on table signage and bid sheets.

County Silent Auction Donations

All counties are invited to participate and donate a basket to the silent auction. We kindly ask each NM Master Gardener county office to create one or more garden related baskets of nonperishable item(s) valued at $25.00 or more. The items and baskets should be handmade, purchased or donated. Where possible, items that do not fit in baskets (e.g., garden tools or birdhouses) will be displayed with an easy to read description.

Individual and Business Silent Auction Donations

We are accepting auction item donations from individuals and businesses. We encourage and accept gifts of “professional” services, gift baskets, art work, event and season tickets, event tickets, gift certificates, and plants valued at $25 or more. Be Creative!

Donation Instructions

Once you have determined which item(s) you plan to donate, complete the short donation form no later than Friday, Aug. 10, 2018 for planning purposes. Getting your donation form to us before the auction will give us the lead time to prepare bid sheets and be prepared when you drop off your donation. {No, we will not turn down your donations at the door if you have not pre-submitted your donation form.}

Silent Auction Donation Item Delivery

There are two ways to deliver your donated items to the conference Silent Auction:

  1. On Saturday morning, September 1st during registration, from 7-9 AM, you can drop off your silent auction item with conference staff during Silent Auction Setup in the Galley room at the conference.
  2. To drop off your silent auction item prior to start of the conference, you can email the 2018 NMMGC staff at scmgwebmaster@gmail.com to arrange for delivery.
